The word "home" was something always special to me growing up, but unfortunately my parents could not give us that gift. I grew up in an unstable financial household and understand what it means to someone when "home" feels right.
I was born in Passaic, N.J. and we all moved to Chicago when I was about ten years old, trying to enhance our lifestyle. Despite my parent's attempt to live better, our financial instability caused us to keep moving homes and schools. After years of living in an economic hardship and feeling financially limited, I worked really hard to try to change my life around by taking risks in an effort to stop the cycle of poverty in my family.
I treat people the way I would've loved my family to be treated, and there is nothing more rewarding than going home knowing you helped a family find the home of their dreams. Helping a family make such an important decision on a home purchase means that their kids will also be successful in the home they will grow up in, and that's the most rewarding gift to me.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication studies from Eastern Illinois University in 2011. After college graduation, I worked in journalism and radio sales in downtown Chicago, and now reside in the south suburbs.
I enjoy sharing my story to motivate others, and I also enjoy volunteering in food pantries.
