John McGleam
It was the day before closing and I arrived a bit before my clients to get ready for our final walk through. The home was quiet and vacant as I unlocked the door and turned on all of the lights. I opened the blinds to let in the last rays of light from the day’s sunset so the home showed as bright and beautiful as I could for the future home owners.
I met the family at the end of the driveway as their mini-van’s side door opened for their kids to pour out. They had never seen the home that their parents had put an accepted offer on. Their mom asked them who’s house this was. They looked from her to me and then back to her as they asked “Is it Mr. John’s?”
“No.” She replied. “It is ours!”
Their joy was captured by their Dad who held his cell phone sideways as they burst through the front door and bounded up the stairs to assign who got what room. The home had come back to life in that moment. Mom and Dad remained on the first floor to discuss when the painters would be there with their scaffolding. They also worked out where their furniture would go and made other important decisions that would allow them to start putting their finger prints on a house to make it their home.
This is why I do what I do.
The opportunity to assist families in making one of the most important decisions of their lives isn’t one that I take lightly. Along the journey, each step is discussed and the direction we go on is well thought out. Honesty and transparency in every aspect of the transaction will translate to confidence and comfort for my clients.
No two transactions are identical. Each will be as unique as the clients I have been blessed to assist. I am grateful to have been on the home buying journey for so many and have been able to represent them and others in the sale of their homes. I welcome each challenge almost as much as each victory. Together we can get you to a better place.
Thank you to the many I have been able to serve and to those who I will in the future!
